One of my favorite places to paddle in the world is the stunningly beautiful and unpredictable Maligne Lake, Jasper.
This is the view looking down the lake past the famous Spirit Island.

The first time my husband and I took our canoe out on this lake we started on a sunny warm day in June. Approximately 45 mins into the journey we found ourselves fighting glacial waves and in the middle of a blizzard! We camped overnight at Coronet Creek then on the paddle out it was back to summer weather with flat glass like water the whole way.
